Only a little more over a month until the next installment of the Nuremberg Web Week begins. Thus, it is time to collect some information for our English-speaking followers as well.
First, let’s start with the Web Week itself: Within one week, the Nuremberg Web Week assembles a broad selection of conferences, events, presentations and workshops to showcase the capabilities and creative ideas around digital topics in the Nuremberg region. It serves as meeting point for the most important local and digital creators, users, personalities, and all of those who have found their home in the Internet: among others, this includes entrepreneurs, founders, tech-enthusiasts, bloggers, online-activists, hackers, developers, creators, designers, media representatives, marketing agencies, start-ups, SMEs and corporate enterprises, as well as investors and sponsors. In 2016, the Web Week offered 58 events and attracted almost 6,000 participants.
From May 15 to 22, 2017, the Nuremberg Web Week will take place for the fifth time. As of right now, more than 90 events will take place – more than ever before! The festival aims to bring together potentials from various spheres of the digital world, and to create synergy effects through those collaborations. True to its motto “Present, be interested, learn, get to know”, for one week, people will meet at miscellaneous events covering highly interesting and current topics. As most events are free to attend, everyone can simply sign up in our program for the event of their choice. First come, first serve. Although the majority of events will be held in German language, some are also offered in English:

Join us and learn how to use open web technologies to empower and – maybe more importantly – encourage users to own their own content and identities.
