🟡 Panel Discussion: “From Vision to Execution – Using Data, Unlocking Potential, Avoiding Pitfalls”
The final panel discussion brings together three perspectives: technological infrastructure, entrepreneurial innovation, and implementation through partnerships. Together, the experts will discuss how companies are currently working with data – from setting strategic goals to choosing the right tools and integrating them into business processes. The focus will not only be on technologies like CDP, CRM, and AI, but also on culture, competencies, and scalability. How can data silos be broken down? What role do security and infrastructure play? And what does it take to turn data into real value creation?
The panel will be moderated by Daniel Distler, podcaster and expert in digital communication. In his podcast "Marketing Pioneers" he presents the challenges and opportunities of digital marketing. At the DATA Day, he’ll ask the right questions at the right time – pointed, competent, and always grounded in real-world practice.
IHK & 1. FC Nürnberg DATA DAY
Data is the gold of the 21st century.
Few topics are currently as crucial for companies as the proper handling of data. But how can relevant data be systematically collected – and processed in a way that creates real value for business development? Why is it essential in today’s competitive environment to gain a comprehensive understanding of customer behavior and preferences?
How can data from various channels – social media, online shops, brick-and-mortar retail, and websites – be combined into a holistic customer profile? What role does a Customer Data Platform (CDP) play in this process? And what should companies consider when selecting and implementing such a platform?

- Sebastian Schwiedernoch (CodeCamp:N): As head of New Business & Partner Management, he provides insights into the challenges faced by medium-sized businesses. He explains why mindset and user experience are key to building viable AI solutions – and why so many companies struggle with it. His perspective: pragmatic, hands-on, and drawn from daily customer interactions.
- Jan Philipp Kötting (Engel & Völkers Ventures): From a venture capital viewpoint, he shares how data-based business models are emerging in the real estate and finance sectors – and what organizational and leadership conditions must be in place. Successful case studies are in focus, as well as common pitfalls like scaling or internal acceptance.
- Marta Wilczynska (Nasuni): With technical depth and a clear view of data infrastructure, she emphasizes that every data-driven project must be based on a stable, secure, and scalable foundation. She highlights how modern storage and security solutions enable innovation – especially in light of international scaling and data protection requirements.
- Christian Däumler (YouGov): From online panels to replacing traditional CATI phone studios – the data collection process in market research has changed dramatically. How can companies gather valid data about their customers and their usage behavior today, and what is the quality of that data? How can corporate data be matched with it? And when customers today make more differentiated decisions about the use and consumption of products – what does that mean for product development and marketing? So many questions – and we’ll explore them with Christian.
