How real is your online persona? Take part in a performance involving two collaborative robots and explore your digital identity!

How real is your online persona?

Our entire digital environment is designed. On social media, we fill platforms with images, text and videos, presenting a version of ourselves – or different versions across various platforms. But who are you really? For Nürnberg Digital Festival, bayern design has invited the Cologne-based design studio Elastique to present Mirror Me at Space Between from 26 to 29 June. The interactive installation explores the search for the digital self. It invites you to question your digital self-image.

Two cobots move mirrored surfaces, creating endless visual echoes. These are accompanied by four different soundscapes, designed to evoke different emotions within the installation. The installation only becomes a performance when you stand between the two collaborative robots. This makes Mirror Me a particularly striking example of the interplay between design and technology, and of how well-designed human-machine interaction can help address social issues.

Design creates more than just digital environments. Experience design creates emotional experiences. Positive, consistent and meaningful experiences that serve as food for thought, encouraging us to challenge the status quo.

Come along, become a part of the performance and question your own digital self-image!
