🎬 THE NEW WORK STORY – What Modern Work and Movies Have in Common
Why We're Hosting This Workshop
Work is changing. Radically.
From remote work to existential job crises, from agile methods to collective burnout — the world of work is undergoing a major cultural shift. New Work is more than just a buzzword. It’s a deep, emotional, and sometimes contradictory transformation that affects us all.
But how do we tell the story of this change?
How do we make it visible, understandable, and relatable?
Our answer: Through storytelling.
🎥 THE NEW WORK STORY – Film as a Starting Point
We’re a team of filmmakers currently developing a feature-length documentary about the future of work. Our aim isn’t to explain New Work with theories, but to tell it — through real stories from real people.
Because like every great film, every real transformation contains conflict, growth, and a goal.
But before we begin filming, we want to explore this together with you:
What do these stories look like?
What kind of drama lies hidden in the world of work?
And what have you experienced that could resonate with others?
🎯 Workshop Goals
In this interactive format, we combine storytelling methods from film with your personal experiences from the workplace.
You’ll learn:
What cinema and New Work have in common
How change at work can be understood as a dramatic arc
How to view your own professional journey as a meaningful, structured story
📝 Workshop Structure
1. Mini-Keynote
What New Work and Movies Have in Common
Why we need to not just reorganize work — but retell it
Transformation, conflict, turning points, and goal-setting as shared storytelling structure
The Hero’s Journey as a blueprint for personal and organizational change
2. Interactive Workshop
Act 1 – The Old World
Act 2 – The Break / The Challenge
Act 3 – The Journey Toward a New Perspective
👥 Who It's For
This workshop is for anyone interested in New Work — whether you're an employee, freelancer, leader, or someone shaping workplace culture — and curious about exploring the topic in a fresh, creative way.
