The story of private radio in Nuremberg began in the summer of 1986. Among the first private stations to launch in Bavaria were Charivari 98.6, Radio Gong 97.1, and Radio F, followed shortly afterwards by Hit Radio N1. Their broadcast area extends across the districts of Roth, Fürth, and Nürnberger Land.
Today, Funkhaus Nürnberg is the largest private radio broadcasting centre in Bavaria. In 1995, the four previously independent local radio stations joined forces and now operate seven programmes.
During the tour, you will learn more about the organisation, departments, and journalistic work of the station, and you will also visit the newsroom. In the live studio, you will experience the day-to-day world of radio broadcasting and gain an insight into the work of a presenter.
