For the fourth time in a row the Digital Women* Day is coming back within the Nuernberg Digital Festival. After the successful of the last DWD with more than 250 participants we are looking forward to another day full of inspiration, sharing and connection. The stage is provided for women, however, everybody is welcome - no matter how old you are or which gender or experience you have.
Great ideas don’t fail because they’re not clever enough — they fail because they don’t work for everyone.
Great ideas don’t fail because they’re not clever enough — they fail because they don’t work for everyone.
Getting it right from the beginning brings together four perspectives on what it really takes to design innovation that includes rather than excludes. From accessibility and digital inclusion to AI in production and healthcare, and the empowerment of underrepresented voices in early-stage innovation, this panel explores one central question: Who are we leaving out — and why?
Together, the speakers unpack where blind spots emerge in innovation processes — the subtle moments when products, systems, or ideas unintentionally exclude entire groups. They will challenge the assumption that inclusion is an add-on, and instead position it as a prerequisite for meaningful, scalable, and future-proof innovation.
The discussion dives into practical realities:
How can companies ensure that AI empowers all employees, not just a select few?
What does it take to build healthcare technologies that treat every patient group fairly?
Why do certain voices — especially women — still struggle to become visible early in innovation processes, and what does that cost us collectively?
And how can interdisciplinary collaboration and the right mindset turn inclusion from intention into impact?

Drawing from hands-on experience across UX, production, healthcare AI, and early-stage venture building, the panelists share concrete insights, tools, and mindset shifts. What emerges is a clear message: inclusion is not a constraint — it’s a catalyst.
Because innovation that works for everyone doesn’t happen by accident. It’s designed that way from the start.
Important: Please register for each event separately, so we can plan accordingly.
Organized by digital Women* Community and Coworking Nuernberg - a safe space for exchange and connection.
Please note: Due to a stair way the location is unfortunately not wheel chair accessible.
