At the Datathon of the Nuremberg Data Science & AI Meetup, we work in small teams on real, openly available datasets from the City of Nuremberg and the state of Bavaria. The focus is on Vibe Engineering — a discipline where you program together with AI. We pursue a clear goal: a concrete data-driven app or artifact created in 3 hours, driven by human intent and implemented with agent-based AI support.

Whether Claude, Cursor, Copilot, or your own setup — we want to explore together how far we can go with Vibe Engineering.

No competition, no jury stress. Just an evening where curious minds and experienced practitioners tinker with data together, learn from one another, and showcase what they’ve built.

What to bring: a laptop, curiosity, and ideally an AI tool of your choice. Prior data science experience is helpful but not required — AI agents will assist, and we’ll learn from each other.
