Innovation is seen as the fix for everything — from social issues to economic challenges. But are we an innovation-driven society, or are we still on the way?

#Innovation #Technology
Breakthrough Innovation, Social Innovation, Innovation Ecosystems
These are all buzzwords that frequently pop up in public discourse and panel discussions. Innovation is often presented as the answer to every problem: digital transformation, technological advancement, and social change are seen as the keys to economic growth, public sector reform, and even the restoration of national defense capabilities.

In Germany, aerospace has been singled out as a flagship innovation sector under the newly established Federal Ministry for Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR).

But are we truly an innovation-driven society—or is that still a goal to work toward?
And more importantly: How do we talk about innovation in the context of society, the economy, and politics?

The Master’s program in Innovation Communication at the Nuremberg Institute of Technology puts these questions—and the surrounding debates—at the heart of its work.

As part of the Nuremberg Digital Festival, this event will offer insight into current research on innovation concepts and innovation policy.
