Part 1: Accessibility in Practice
How can accessibility be integrated into daily development work?

In the first half of the event, our accessibility team will demonstrate how we support the implementation of BITV 2.0, Germany’s accessibility standards — with concrete, real-life examples.

But it’s not just about technology — it’s about real inclusion: designing applications and content that are accessible and usable for people with a wide range of needs.

Digital accessibility enables participation — and ultimately benefits everyone.

Part 2: Fishbowl Talk – Paths into IT & Diverse Perspectives
In the second half, we shift to open dialogue:

In a Fishbowl conversation, participants from public administration and regional universities will share how they got into IT, what projects fill their daily work, and what diversity means in their fields.

For digital transformation to succeed, it needs a variety of perspectives — and that works best when the diversity of people and life experiences is reflected in IT.

Framing the Future: A Side Program With a Twist
Our supporting program also addresses the future — with a wink.

Under the theme:
“Paper Mountains, Fax Machines & Form Stacks – How Public Administration Misses the Future”,
you’ll be challenged with a playful contest featuring the best (and worst!) real-life stories from public administration, plus a lightning talk on the never-ending topic of digital transformation in government.
