Relevanzreporter Nürnberg
Relevanzreporter Nürnberg is an independent, public interest-oriented media outlet for Nuremberg and the region. They focus on journalism for Nuremberg and the region that does not concentrate on the problems, but also looks for solutions or wants to show perspectives. For a better feeling when consuming news - without being banal or naive.
The non-profit project was founded in 2020 and pursues a community-based approach in which users are actively involved in research, help develop and shape the service and help secure and expand the project in the long term with their so-called community contributions from 9 euros per month. The editorial team consists of around 20 professionally trained media professionals, including journalists, photographers, illustrators and web developers.
Among other things, Relevanzreporter offers:
a weekly news overview of THE topics of the week in Nuremberg.
in-depth research on regional challenges.
a podcast that is available free of charge.
free events where journalism is lived instead of written and where the community can exchange ideas and network.
an advertising-free and independent financing model that is supported by community memberships.
They are officially recognized by the tax office as a non-profit organization. Their aim is to promote diversity, democracy and media literacy in the region and to stand up against hatred, hate speech and scaremongering.
