KMU-KI-Erfahrungszentrum
An der Weberei 5 96047 Bamberg
The aim of this SME KI Experience Centre is to support as many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region as possible in their digital transformation.
We focus on showcasing innovative KI-driven manufacturing processes that can be tailored to specific needs, as well as training and sensitising employees.
This initiative will be implemented through a prototypical manufacturing facility that presents selected components for a hands-on experience, while also illustrating complex processes using digital twins.
In an interdisciplinary cooperation between the departments of Kognitive Systems, General Psychology and Adult Education at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg, the following topics are addressed and implemented
Translating AI research into practice by developing human-centred, transparent and correctable approaches to machine learning.
Targeted support for numerous regional companies in their digital transformation:
- Learning about KI-driven manufacturing processes,
- Testing specific requirements,
- Training and sensitising employees.
Through our prototypical manufacturing facility, digital twins and various sensor technologies for process monitoring, predictive quality control and presentation of energy and resource savings. This also includes a specialised robotic cell to demonstrate and explore human-robot collaboration in assembly processes (cobots). We are also promoting links between regional companies in the field of KI and facilitating a regional dialogue on artificial intelligence.
