dieKunstBauStelle e. V. – Art, Culture, and Digital Innovation
The organization dieKunstBauStelle is a dynamic and multifaceted non-profit (NGO) founded in 2014 in the town of Landsberg am Lech. Initiated by Wolfgang Hauck, our group brings together artists, cultural professionals, journalists, editors, sociologists, and dedicated volunteers. Together, we drive innovative projects that foster creative exchange and cultural participation on regional, national, and international levels.
ORIGINS
Our roots go back to a sociocultural project launched in 2012 in Landsberg am Lech. At that time, young people transformed a major construction site in the town center into a vibrant art installation under professional guidance. The success of this participatory approach inspired the founding of our association, which seeks to structurally promote and expand such creative initiatives.
DIGITAL PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
To make culture and creativity accessible to as many people as possible, digital formats are increasingly central to our work:
- Virtual Workshops & Seminars
We offer online courses on topics such as image editing, social media, theater pedagogy, and storytelling. By doing so, participants can build their creative and cultural skills from anywhere. - Digital Exhibition Spaces
We utilize online galleries and 3D platforms to present art interactively. This allows a global audience to explore and comment on project outcomes and exhibitions. - Hybrid Events
More and more, we blend in-person formats with digital elements such as live streaming, video chats, or online forums. This approach connects people interested in culture across great distances and encourages active participation. - History Education and Local Heritage
To expand digital local history and contemporary history education, we have initiated and operate the apps Bayern History and NaziCrimesAtlas. These serve as interactive platforms offering easy access to regional and historical contexts while providing well-researched insights into local history.
REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING
While Landsberg am Lech is our main region of activity, we maintain an extensive network throughout Bavaria and beyond. Many of our ideas originate locally, are tested on a small scale, and then adapted for broader application across the region.
- Active Throughout Bavaria
We primarily focus on Upper Bavaria and Swabia, yet we also initiate projects in Lower Bavaria and Middle Franconia. We are currently preparing additional initiatives that, once successfully piloted, will be implemented statewide. - International Involvement
Since 2018, we have maintained a branch office in Berlin and a coordination office in Istanbul. These locations oversee our international projects, fostering intercultural exchange and global perspectives. - New Locations in Augsburg
As of 2022, we are also active in the Hochfeld district and the Bahnpark in Augsburg. Here, we employ digital and artistic formats to bring together people of diverse backgrounds.
OUR VISION AND PARTICIPATION IN THE DIGITAL FAIR IN NUERMBERG
dieKunstBauStelle remains at the forefront of contemporary developments. We aim to connect people through art and digital offerings, highlight cultural diversity, and promote new forms of expression. At the Digital Fair in Nuremberg, we will showcase our projects and networking opportunities—ranging from virtual workshops to digital exhibition platforms and our history-focused apps.
We look forward to engaging with all those interested in digital cultural work, co-creating fresh perspectives, and shaping a forward-looking creative dialogue.
