Head Integrated Clinical Analytics @ Roche Information Solutions, Roche Diagnostics GmbH
Bio
Anna is a trained bioinformatician and heads the Integrated Clinical Analytics Chapter in Roche Information Solutions in the Roche Diagnostics. Her team develops algorithms and AI based solutions for clinical environments. Our goal is to transform clinical workflows and improve patient outcomes through data-driven insights and advanced analytics. We are driving digitalization in the healthcare system so that patients receive better care.
Before that, Anna has worked more than 10 years in Roche Pharma research and early development, where she and her team supported preclinical and clinical research teams with data analysis and artificial intelligence. Here, we analyze high-dimensional data such as image data, genome information, text data, data from electronic health records, or even Sensor Data to understand disease better and develop better medicine for patients in need.
Anna holds a PhD in bioinformatics and biomedical informatics from the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and a master's degree in Bioinformatics from the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Technical University of Munich. She completed her postdoctoral training at the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Stanford University in the USA. She has been working at Roche since 2013. Today, Anna is also heavily involved outside of Roche to promote digitalization in the healthcare system. She has been on the Bavarian AI Council since 2021 and advises the Bavarian government on AI topics.
